let’s get to work
“I have lived in Cook County my entire life. I love Cook County, and I’m going to work hard to make our County a great place to live, work, shop and raise a family!” – Paul J. Montes II
I am a lifetime resident of the City of Chicago and have lived in the 2nd District of Cook County Illinois for more than twenty-two years. I bring a unique perspective to civic and business life serving both public, non-profit and private sectors. My philanthropic interests include, but are not limited, to improving the health, living conditions and education of children and economic development through revitalizing communities. My interest in public service began while I was an intern for U.S. Representative Charles Hayes, in college. Behind the scenes I have continued to serve my community at the board/decision making level in organizations, including Bronzeville Children’s Museum, Young Adult Board of DuSable Museum, Provident Foundation, Habitat Chicago For Humanity (formally Windy City Habitat For Humanity), Children at the Crossroads Foundation and Community Services West High School. I have been married to my wife of twenty-two years and am the proud father of teen-age fraternal twins.
